Tereza Nvotová is a Slovakia-born, Prague- and New York-based filmmaker. Her third feature Father (2025) premiered in Venice, Horizons competition. Her second feature, the feminist mystery-drama Nightsiren (2022), won the Golden Leopard at Locarno in the Filmmakers of the Present competition, screened at over 40 international festivals, and was released worldwide. Her debut feature Filthy (2017) premiered in Rotterdam and received numerous awards. Before moving into fiction, she directed several documentaries, including the HBO film The Lust for Power (2017), which was selected for the European Film Awards. Nvotová is also tapped to direct the buzzy political true-crime series “Our People” awarded at Series Mania. Tereza is represented by UTA and Black Bear.
