Talents Year-Round Activities
When the UN set out their Sustainable Development Goals we embraced them as an opportunity to reflect on our own practices and those of our Talents. We introduced a range of relevant events and are taking constant measures to better ourselves. We focus on keeping up to date with what our alumni community is achieving to keep our international network strong and in close contact. What’s more, we provide support throughout the year with fellowship and mentoring programmes that aim for sustainable growth.
The Talents, as well as our more than 9,000 alums, are not only leaving an impact on the big screen but are also incredibly aware and active in their daily social environments. With our year-round activities that run beyound the Summit week, we give them a chance to foreground and further develop their own film-related social initiatives in these four key areas:
- Gender Equality and Diversity Quality
- Education and Work Peace
- Justice and Understanding
- Environmental Awareness and Climate Action
Taking part in Berlinale Talents is so much more than the Summit week. You become a valued member of our international community for life, and we want to continue to support you in as many ways as we can. Whether it’s keeping tabs on your professional work, or on the important things you do outside of making film itself, we want to encourage our Talents and alumni to create and expand film-related social projects that will bring about positive change.Nikola Joetze & Tobias Pausinger, Berlinale Talents Leadership Duo

Alumni News
An active and engaged global alumni network is one of the most important aspects of Berlinale Talents. By keeping informed on their achievements and sharing the news, we not only give them an additional public platform, but also keep fellow alumni aware of the ways and areas in which they work. This opens the potential for contact and collaboration within the alumni community.
