Tamara Dawit is an Ethiopian-Canadian producer and arts organization leader with extensive experience in funding administration and policy development. She is an alumnus of EAVE and Berlinale Talents and is a former TIFF and Chalmer Arts Fellow. In 2021, she was awarded the Gordon Parks Award for excellence in Black filmmaking and the Doc Institute Vanguard Award for her film Finding Sally. She has developed a slate of African films and released in 2024 films Made In Ethiopia and Alazar. Tamara is a 2024 MacDowell Fellow.
