When my family sent me out of Afghanistan in 2000 to save my life from the Taliban, I found refuge in Iran, where I began learning filmmaking. Ever since, everything I do has been focused on improving my craft and telling powerful stories through film. I now live in Australia as a refugee, and continue to work on documentaries whenever I can. My most recent film, Afghan Cameleers in Australia, was broadcast on SBS, BBC, NITV, and across all major Afghan TV channels.
