Louise Beyer is a producer based in Oslo, Norway but originally from Denmark. She is the co-founder of Skala together with producer Jonas Bruun. Skala focuses solely on producing low-budget debuts of emerging directors and/or scriptwriters, while simultaneously developing the talents as filmmakers. Louise studied film at both European Film College, the Danish film school 18Frames and she holds a BA in film producing from The Norwegian Film School. She won the highest national award, an Amanda Award, for Best Short Film for her graduation film 'Superdupermegagigasingle' in 2023 which is distributed by NRK and Arte. Her most recent short 'Cucumber' (2024) was a cultural hybrid in collaboration with Japan and competed at festivals like The Norwegian Short Film Festival and PÖFF Shorts. Her other experience includes workshops like ACE Training Days Norway and Young Nordic Producers Club. She is currently working on her debut feature film 'A Certain Type' which is part of this years Talent Project Market.
