Leonardo Mecchi

Leonardo Mecchi is a Brazilian film producer and the managing partner at Enquadramento Produções. Through his production company, he develops and produces both documentaries and feature films, (...) focusing on supporting young and emerging filmmakers primarily through international co-productions. He has collaborated with directors such as Beatriz Seigner, Maya Da-Rin, Maria Augusta Ramos, Anna Muylaert, and Carolina Markowicz, among others. He has a strong commitment to support female filmmakers and to champion stories shaped by diverse perspectives across gender, race, class, and identity. His films have been showcased at prestigious international festivals including Cannes, Berlin, Locarno, Rotterdam, Toronto, San Sebastián, and IDFA, in addition to national festivals such as Brasília, Gramado, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo. He serves as a juror, selection committee member, and consultant for several festivals and film funds, including the Hubert Bals Fund. He also conducts workshops and seminars on film production and is an alumnus of EAVE, Berlinale Talent, TorinoFilmLab, and the Sundance Institute.
