I am a female director and producer with extensive experience on countless film sets. I worked as the Line Producer for the well-known Namibian filmmaker Vickson Hangula on his film 'Fish Out of (...) Water.' My award-winning debut film, 'The White Line,' has premiered and screened at various international film festivals and won several accolades. These include Best Newcomer Director for Best Film Script and the Audience Choice Award at the Namibia Theatre and Film Awards 2019. It also won Best Cinematographer and Best Feature Film at the 7th African Emerging Filmmakers Award 2019 in Durban, received a special jury mention for direction at the 9th Luxor African Film Festival 2020 in Egypt, and won the Kilimanjaro Award for Best Feature Film at the Africlap Film Festival 2020 in Toulouse, France. I am an alumna of Talents Durban 2018. 'The White Line' was the first Namibian film to be submitted to the Oscars and Golden Globes and was considered for the 94th Academy Awards 2022 in the General Category (Best Picture). I was recently nominated for Best First Film by a Director at the Africa Movie Academy Awards 2020 (AMAA). I am passionate about telling stories of Namibia and Africa—human stories that resonate with a wider global audience and showcase female characters in all their multifaceted forms. My stories feature female lead characters and aim to break barriers and open doors for those who have forgotten to dream or are afraid to try. I believe there are no limitations and that nothing is impossible. There is a place for everybody in this world to make an impact, and there are stories only we can tell. Recently, I produced a pilot for a series that we hope to get commissioned and am involved in producing various projects currently in development. In 2023, I served as the local producer for the Netflix Mexican original film 'Fiesta en la Madriguera,' which was partly filmed in Namibia.
