
Dan Zlotnik has born in Genova Italy. He spent his childhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the age of 23 he moved to Mexico City. For 10 years he did over 180 shows a year, all around the world with different Pop Artists, Jazz groups, and different kind of musicians and music (from Gloria Gaynor to the most strange free jazz noisy band) He did 2 CDs for Tzadik (John Zorn´s record label), 4 CDs with his own Jazz Group, and over 200 CDs as guest saxophone player, producer or arranger. 9 of those CDs won Grammys. Since many years now he worked as a composer in movies. In 2016 he was nominated for the ARIEL award (by the Mexican Film Academy) for the score of The Thin yellow line (directed by Celso Garcia and produced by Guillermo del Toro, Bertha Navarro and Alejandro Springall)
