Rojas is a film producer and director with extensive experience in both fiction and documentary features. They produced La Dama Tapada (2018), one of Ecuador’s most-watched films that year. Currently, they serve as producer of Huaquero, the second feature by Juan Carlos Donoso, filmed between Ecuador and Peru in co-production with Romania. The film premiered in the official Envision competition at IDFA and continued an extensive festival run at events such as FICUNAM, the Lima Film Festival, and EDOC, among others. The film had its world premiere in the Orizzonti section of the Venice Film Festival 2025, where it received the Best Screenplay Award and a Special Jury Mention at the San Sebastián Film Festival. They are also associate producer of Los Ahogados by Juan Sebastián Jácome, a psychological thriller currently in national and international release. Rojas served as head of production for La Invención de las Especies by Tania Hermida, which premiered at the 67th San Francisco International Film Festival (2024) and won the Sloan Science on Screen Award. In 2025, Rojas will release Shaman, directed by Antonio Negret, their first English-language feature co-produced with one of the producers of Talk to Me, with premieres planned in the United States and Ecuador. For television, Rojas produces and co-directs the series Chulla Vida, which will premiere in 2026 on national television and later on Ecuavisa Play. As a director, Rojas distributed their short film Chigualo, pre-selected for the 2021 Academy Awards and screened at more than 56 international festivals, earning multiple recognitions. They are currently in post-production on their debut feature Ñusta, which received the Lexia Award in Open Doors at the Locarno Film Festival and the Co-Production Meeting Award at the Guadalajara Film Festival. During editing, the project was selected for WIP Latino at GLAFF (Los Angeles). At the same time, Rojas is developing their second feature, The Death of Birds, invited to various screenwriting residencies, and producing Otrxs Extrañxs, the debut feature by Frank Vera Jiménez.
