Alexandru Mironescu

Internationally trained Romanian filmmaker, with a strong background in live television, Alexandru Mironescu holds an M.F.A. degree in Film and Television (Directing-Producing) from the Savannah (...) College of Art and Design (SCAD), earned as a Fulbright Alumnus in the United States of America in 2022, after his previous academic studies (M.A. & B.A. degrees in Film Directing) at The National University of Theatre and Cinema (UNATC) in Bucharest. His most recent film Summer Planning / Planuri De Vacanță was screened in the official competition of several A-list film festivals, such as the San Sebastian International Film Festival 2021 or Tallin's Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) 2021, after winning the Heart of Sarajevo Award for Best Student Film at the Sarajevo Film Festival 2021. With this project, Alexandru M. was shortlisted (21 shorts) for the Student BAFTA Awards in 2022 and he was nominated for the CILECT prize for the fiction category in the same year.
