I heard say that making a film portrait is an act of love, the fruit of an encounter and a mystery, and as such involves the surrender of both parties; of the one who gives his life to be observed and of the care of the one who observes. Something that is born of a mutual fascination in which everything is shown, in which everything is expressed, and that only this reveals the humanity of that encounter.
