- The Fresta emerges as the first festival in Brazil's Northeast dedicated to analog film formats, both for production and preservation. It covers the three main formats: Super 8, 16mm, and 35mm. The festival features competitive and special screenings, as well as workshops and panel discussions. Fresta was created with the aim of sustaining the use of analog film by encouraging new filmmakers, while addressing the urgency of audiovisual preservation in Brazil.
