British Council

The British Council is the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations and has worked closely with both the Berlinale and Berlinale Talents for many years. Active in over 100 countries, it creates international opportunities for the people of the United Kingdom and other countries and builds trust between them worldwide.

UK talent usually makes up the third largest contingent of Berlinale Talents participants every year. The British Council’s film department contributes towards their travel and accommodation expenses, and offers advice during the programming phase. It also arranges annual alumni meetings in the country and promotes the latest British films for the Berlinale programmes.
