Creative Europe MEDIA financially supports Europe’s film and audiovisual industries during the development, distribution and promotion of their work. It helps launch projects with a European dimension and nurtures new technologies, including video games; it enables European films and audiovisual works to be seen and find markets beyond national and European borders; it funds training and market access worldwide; it also supports international co-productions, audience development and film literacy projects. Creative Europe MEDIA is a sub-programme of the EU’s new Creative Europe programme, which runs 2014-2020. Berlinale Talents has been supported by the MEDIA programme since 2003.
Creative Europe MEDIA has been a key financial partner of Berlinale Talents since its very first edition. They share the same goals: training professionals, developing projects, building international networks, bridging markets and enabling access to new technologies. Both Berlinale Talents and Creative Europe MEDIA aim to help filmmakers find international partners, markets and audiences while strengthening regional industries.
