Wayne Wapeemukwa is a Canadian-Métis filmmaker and philosopher from Vancouver, Canada. His 2017 debut hybrid-documentary feature, Luk'Luk'I, received the Best First Feature prize at the Toronto International Film Festival and Discovery Prize for new talent at the Director's Guild of Canada. He is a doctoral candidate in philosophy at the Pennsylvania State University and currently developing a sophomore hybrid-ethnographic feature entitled Transit of Venus.
