She has won several international awards and is particularly recognized for her ability to portray deeply human stories with a distinct cinematic style. Sharipa Urazbaeva – Filmography 1. "Mariam" (2019) Feature Film Based on a true story of a woman left with four children after her husband's disappearance. Screened at major international film festivals: Locarno, Toronto, Busan, and others. Awarded Grand Prix "Le Cyclo d’OR" at the Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinemas (Vesoul, France, 2020). Best Female Director Award at the 22nd Rainbow Film Festival (London, 2021). 2. "Kyzyl Anar" (2020) Feature Film A film about a woman who survives violence and seeks justice. Selected for the main competition at the 26th Busan International Film Festival and screened in Japan and Germany. o Awarded Grand Prix at the Eurasia International Film Festival (Kazakhstan, 2022). 3. "Tul" (2022) Feature Film A story about mental loneliness and the coming-of-age of a young girl, based on real events. Awarded the Best Screenplay Award at the 2nd International Bishkek Film Festival.
