
Rozalia Szeleczki is a director and screenwriter from Budapest. Her quirky, genre-bending feature debut ‘Cat Call’ premiered at PÖFF Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival’s First Feature competition, was best debut director nominee at Raindance London and has been shown worldwide at festivals as Fantaspoa in Brazil. She studied audiovisual art at the renowned Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, NL and film directing at the University of Theatre and Film Arts Budapest, HU. Her two student short films ‘Mrs. Rozgonyi’ and ‘Since She’s with Me’ went on festival circuits screening at festivals as Porto Femme, IFSAK and Zoom - Zbliżenia garnering eleven awards in total. Szeleczki is a Sarajevo Talents, First Cut Lab and European Short Pitch alumni. She is currently working on her second feature script. Rozalia’s works are marked by a sensitive feminine touch and a whimsical sense of humour. She is interested in merging genres and challenging audiences with irony and humour.
