I am Miguel López Beraza, born in Madrid (Spain) in 1984. I was awarded with a scholarship to study in DOCNOMADS, a 2-years European master course on documentary film direction held in Lisbon, Budapest and Brussels. With my first short documentary, 'WALLS', I won the 2015 Goya Academy Award and I was selected for festivals like DOK Leipzig, Hamburg, Sarajevo, Seattle IFF, DocsDF, among others, winning multiple national and international awards. I have directed another two short films, ‘JAN PEETERS’ (2015) and ‘WITH ALL OUR CAMERAS’ (2016) selected in festivals like Rotterdam IFFR, Indielisboa or Documentamadrid. In 2016 'WITH ALL OUR CAMERAS' won the first prize of New Horizons short film competition. I am currently developing 'CREATURES', an animation short film selected in Berlinale Short Film Station. In 2018 I've been selected at the 2018 LIM (Less Is More) development residency supported by Creative Europe MEDIA and awarded with the 'Ventana de cine' development fund for Best Project from Madrid with the feature documentary 'VAPOR Y PLATA' (Steam and Silver).
