I am a German-Lithuanian director born in Dresden 1995. Currently I am working on my first feature-length documentary film EASTKIDS (selected for Doc Station 2024), which deals with growing up in the former GDR industrial metropolis of Chemnitz. How does this former socialist city manage to guide its young people into the future in a globalized capitalist system? In my work as a filmmaker, I am very interested in the interdependent relationships between people and the environment in which they grow up and are socialized.
