Juan Francisco Gonzalez

Studied film at the EICTV (San Antonio de los Baños) and the Ateliers Varan, Paris. Codirector of the documentaries PROPAGANDA (2014) and DIOS (2019), films released and awarded at Visions du Réel. (...) Réel. In 2020 he finished the short film "Maria K" who had his World Premiere at Cinéma du Réel festival at the "Première Fenêtre" Compétition, received the "Public Award ", and a "Special Mention from the Jury" in FIDOCS (2020). In 2022, his short film “Fantasmagoría” was selected at Doclisboa and more than 50 festivals around the world, with multiple awards. He also produced the short films “Cuaderno de agua” (2022, Chile) by Felipe Rodríguez, “Estallido” (2023, France-Chile) by Eve Le Fessant Coussonneau and in the feature fiction film “Through Rocks and Clouds” (2024, Peru-Chile) by Franco García Becerra as co-producer and co-editor. In 2024 it was selected to realize a residence in La Casa Velázquez (Madrid).
