Islam El Azzazi

Born in Alexandria 1971, graduated in 1993 from the High Institute of Cinema - Giza / Egypt. Since his graduation film, Azzazi has made several documentaries, experimental works, and short narrative (...) films. He attended several masterclasses and learning platforms such as Berlinale Talents 2005, Documentary Campus – MENA Program 2013, and Rawi Screenwriters’ Lab 2014 Has worked with several performing arts and film institutions/1995-1999. He was a founding member of two production companies, which focuses on independent film /2001-2010. Was the mentor/supervisor of two lengthy workshops held over five years (2002-2007) that have created the core of the current booming independent film scene in Alexandria.
