Fernanda Salgado is a Black woman from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. She has an MA in Cinema and is currently working on her PhD in Film Studies and Animation at Concordia University, in Montréal, Canada. Co-founder of the Apiario Creative Studio, she has been working as a scriptwriter, producer, and creative director since 2005. Currently in production with Ana, en passant, an arthouse animated feature film; and in development with AIMÓ, a family animated feature film.
