Farid Ahmad is a nonfiction filmmaker from Bangladesh. His films explore freedom and dignity. He also spent 10 years as a TV journalist. He is currently working on 'Waiting For Winter', his debut feature film, which received support from Sundance, HAF (Hong Kong), Open Doors Locarno and La Scam. He is an alumnus of Berlinale Talents, Getting Real Fellowship (IDA) and American Film Showcase Documentary Workshop. His academic background is in Media Studies and Communication. He also served as general secretary (2014-2022) of the Bangladesh Documentary Council.
