Antoine Bourges

Antoine Bourges is a Vancouver-based filmmaker originating from Paris. His films navigate the intersection of documentary and fiction cinema, with an emphasis on human relations within institutional (...) systems. His shorts Woman Waiting (2010) and William in White Shirt (2015), along with his mid-length films East Hastings Pharmacy (2012) have been presented in numerous festivals and film spaces such as Berlinale, TIFF, Viennale, Centre Pompidou's Cinéma du Réel, Art of the Real, and the Anthology Film Archives. His first feature film Fail to Appear (2017) premiered at VIFF and was presented BAFICI, Art of the Real, and was released theatrically in Canada (2018) and Mexico (2020). He is currently completing his second feature, Concrete Valley, financed by Telefilm Canada.
