Alex Piperno (1985, Montevideo) is a director, producer, and teacher, who graduated from the Universidad del Cine de Buenos Aires. He was selected for Berlinale Talents (2012, 2013) and Talents BA (2011). His directorial works include the short film "The inviolability of the domicile is based on the man who appears wielding an ax at the door of his house" (2011, Cannes Critics’ Week) and the feature film "Window Boy Would Also Like to Have a Submarine" (2020, Berlinale Forum). As a producer, he has contributed to projects such as "Parabellum" by Lukas Rinner (IFFR, 2015), "Window Boy Would Also Like to Have a Submarine" by Alex Piperno (Berlinale, 2020), and "Savanna and the Mountain" by Paulo Carneiro (Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes, 2024).
