Student Darko Zuljan finds the passionate war songs, which were sung by the partisans during their fights in the Second World War, interesting, so he decides to resuscitate them and to turn his idea into cash. Together with three friends, members of an improvised group, he finds himself on a partisan ceremony in Goriška Brda that is organised by the locals in the memory of victims that were killed during an attack in the Second World War. Being there Darko suddenly becomes aware of how unknown and strange the reality, which is hidden in someone else's songs, is to him.
