- Stuck between night shifts and comparisons to other people her age, museum guard Paula discovers Ida Pfeiffer, the first female solo traveler, who risked her life meeting the Queen of Madagascar in colonial times. Fascinated, Paula sleeps badly and dreams of the Madagascan rainforest. Like Pfeiffer, she feels constrained by societal expectations. Should she follow her longing and embark on a journey beyond her current confines?
