- After learning that his father, who he believed to be dead, is actually alive, Alex returns to his childhood town in the Basque Country to uncover the truth about his family’s past. There he finds a town gripped by a strange epidemic causing deformities and his father grappling with mental illness and experiencing delusions that will have a growing impact on him.
