FLATLANDS
- Logline
- FLATLANDS follows Ryder Bush, an 18 year old Australian, of mixed Dharrug/Dharruk and Scottish settler heritage, as he teeters on the cusp of manhood in the outer suburbs of Adelaide. A world caught between contemporary outlaw masculinity, Country, and inherited colonial memory.
Ryder’s coming-of-age is a haze of burnouts, sport, violence, and lust, until a ghostly Jackaroo appears as a spectral messenger, and the old pathway to Australian manhood before him is transformed. - Talent
