- Two young rocket engineers, Nestor and Isaac, struggle against the economic and political realities of their country. Propelled by the memory of past African dreamers and a resilient belief in their country, they work on building the first Congolese space program. The two young engeneer student have moved to Kinshasa to join Keka’s space program. As they find themselves visited by the spirit of their predecessor - Edward Nkoloso the first "Afronaut".

Talent Bio
Maisha Maene is a Congolese screenwriter and director based in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo. As an artist, he works on issues of human rights and the environment. As well as various collaborative projects, Maisha has written and directed five short films. His most recent short film Mulika won a jury prize Pardi di domani at Locarno Film Festival 2022, Best sound design at Dresden Short Film Festival 2023 , Best Film and Best Cinematography at FICKIN’ Film Festival Kinshasa. Mulika was Selected at Sundance Film Festival, Clermont Ferrand and FESPACO. His fiction feature film project Niobium was selected to Locarno Residency 2023. Maisha Maene was selected to the Berlinale Talents 2024 with his documentary feature film project Spaceman in Kongo in the Doc Station.
