Synopsis

Martina and Micaela are two 9 year-old twins who live with their parents in Quilmes. Their everyday life consist in going to school, doing their homework, go to Sunday school, sleep, and –especially– those necessary rituals for going out to the world: long periods in front of the mirror, during which they comb their hair but also maybe try to check and highlight their distinctive features (and by the way, also giving the audience a chance to guess which one is which). Their schedules also include auditions for twins, the preparation for their first communion, and several house chores, like cooking their own food when their mother is not home during the day as she opened up a taxi service. With a fine observational work, Ezequiel Yanco’s camera manages to wonderfully integrate the days of Martina and Micaela, and discover a lot more than just sensible changes.
