Archaeologists dig up the backyard of the most powerful woman in Pinochet's secret police. Meanwhile, a Hong Kong filmmaker invites friends who have fled to seek asylum in Germany to collaborate on a film. As the filmmakers from different diaspora examine their attachment to their “lost” homeland, a drag performance artist invites us to her version of Istanbul and its queer history. And we are expected on a call exploring the fascinating relationship between humans and orangutans. This year, the Doc Station welcomes 9 filmmakers who share stories of hope, reconciliation, resistance, solidarity and more...
