How do we break free from historical events and old societal conventions when so much of our daily life is shaped by them? The 10 thought-provoking projects selected for this year’s Short Form Station seek to address the question. A dancer fights against a system designed to push her to its margins; hippos and peacocks echo male fantasies of power; old privileges and new technologies come together in the white-boys-only cryptocurrency world. Straddling fiction and essayistic docs, VR and animation, the projects promise a fascinating journey through the medium and some of its most adventurous fringes.
