Gold Rush Pictures | Berlinale Talents

Gold Rush Pictures (GRP) is an international independent production company and financier founded in 2021 by Vladimir Zemtsov, focused on ambitious, auteur-driven storytelling with global reach.

GRP has financed and supported a range of internationally recognised films, including Club Zero by Jessica Hausner (Cannes Competition 2023), Lou Ye’s An Unfinished Film (Cannes 2024), and Brian Cox’s directorial debut Glenrothan (TIFF). The company has an ongoing creative collaboration with Tom Tykwer and X Filme Creative Pool, including involvement in The Light, which opened the Berlinale in 2025. GRP is a co-producer of Kirill Serebrennikov’s Disappearance, which premiered at Cannes in 2025, and lead producer of The Idiots by Małgorzata Szumowska and Michał Englert, currently in post-production. GRP has financed the development of Ruben Östlund’s forthcoming The Entertainment System Is Down, and is a financier and co-producer on Karim Aїnouz’s Rosebush Pruning.

The Gold Rush Pictures Berlinale Talents Lab Awards mark the growing collaboration between GRP and Berlinale Talents, with GRP also becoming a co-partner of Berlinale Talents as of 2027 and 2028, marking the first time that an independent production company has supported the Berlinale Talents Lab.

The expanded partnership will include the continuation of the selection and presentation of the Gold Rush Pictures Berlinale Talents Lab Awards, as well as future collaborative initiatives aimed at fostering emerging filmmakers and bold new cinematic voices.
