Kumjana Novakova

A research-based filmmaker born in Yugoslavia, working also as film-curator and lecturer. As an author, Kumjana researches relationships related to power, war, memories and (un)belonging. Her work has been presented at numerous festivals and exhibitions, including MoMA, Tate Modern, IDFA, Cinema du Reel, HotDocs, MG+MSUM, etc.
Currently Kumjana lives between Sarajevo and Skopje.
