Oksana Zabuzhko

Oksana Zabuzhko is perhaps the most important living writer in Ukraine and has already published more than 20 books, including poetry, prose and non-fiction. She studied philosophy at the University of Kyiv and completed her doctorate at the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences before teaching as a guest professor at US universities such as Penn State, Pittsburgh and Harvard. She received the Book of the Year Award in 2022 for “The Longest Journey” about the historical background to the current Russian-Ukrainian war in her home country.
