Welket Bungué

Welket Bungué is an actor and director born in Guinea-Bissau and now based in Berlin. He is a member of the Portuguese Film Academy and the Deutsche Filmakademie. His films have been screened internationally at festivals such as Africlap, Zanzibar International Film Festival, Afrikamera and DocLisboa. He directed the short films I AM NOT PILATUS, ARRIAGA and BASTIEN. He played Franz Biberkopf in BERLIN ALEXANDERPLATZ, screened at the 2020 Berlinale.
