Jennifer Reeder

Born in Ohio, USA in 1973, she graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). Her multi-award-winning films, which have screened at numerous international festivals, focus on stories about relationships, traumas and trauma processing. In 2015, her film “Blood Below the Skin” screened in Berlinale Shorts while “Crystal Lake” and “Knives and Skin” were selected for the 2016 and 2019 Generation programmes respectively. Bong Joon-ho recently named her a “filmmaker to watch” in the 2020s. Her latest film “Perpetrator” premieres at this year’s Berlinale.
