Paul Pauwels

Belgian producer and Director of the European Documentary Network (EDN). He founded his first production company Periscope Productions in 1985, concentrating mainly on award-winning documantaries. After selling his company in 2004, he worked for two years as Programme Manager at Flemish public broadcaster VRT and then became director of the European Television and Media Management Academy (etma) until 2011 and later was head of the Belgian production company Congoo bvba. He has extensive experience in consulting and tutoring and has been teaching Documentary Production at the Flemish Film School KHLIM in Genk. He is also a member of the selection committee for documentary projects of the Flemish Film Fund (VAF).
