Zsigmond Kungl

I was born in Budapest in 1996 and graduated as a screenwriter from the University of Theatre and Film Arts (SzFE) in 2020. During my studies, I co-wrote several short films, including 'Fonica (...) M-120', selected for Cannes Cinéfondation, and 'Anja', screened at Sarajevo’s Student Film section. My directing debut short, 'I Didn’t Go to My Father’s Funeral', premiered at Friss Hús Budapest and was later screened at several international queer and independent film festivals. As a screenwriter, my feature projects have been developed in international contexts such as Talents Sarajevo Script Station, Ekran+ (Wajda School), and various European labs and residencies.
