Alongside jobs in the film industry in Munich and Berlin, I worked at a chocolate factory, the post office, an IT consulting company, horse auctions, and as a waitress, before I studied Psychology in Vienna. During my studies at the Film University, I directed the internationally awarded short documentary Day After Day, the essay film Guilt, as well as the dystopian sci-fi F For Freaks, which received international acclaim, screening at Sitges, Trieste, and Busan (Audience Award), and winning Best International Short and Best Actress (Ursula Werner) at Fantasia Festival in Montreal. It was nominated for the German Short Film Award and rated "Prädikat Besonders Wertvoll". My work is driven by a deep commitment to authenticity and a fascination with the very dark and yet poetic facets of human experience. I gravitate toward genre-bending narratives that blur the lines between horror, psychological realism, and poetic abstraction. I aim to provoke - emotionally, intellectually, and aesthetically - while maintaining a profound sensitivity and vulnerability in my storytelling. I’m currently developing the feature PARADIES_bluten (ZDF Kleines Fernsehspiel), which won first prize at Les Arcs Talent Lab and was selected for La Résidence du Festival de Cannes and the Locarno Residency. I’m also working on the feature adaptation of F FOR FREAKS (FFA script fund) and the long-term documentary TAGein TAGaus (ZDF Innovationsfonds).
