Daniel is a writer and director based in Berlin. 2020 he started his directing studies at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and took part in an exchange programme at La Fémis in Paris. After his short film 'Melodies of Barking Dogs' won the German Shortfilm Award in November 2024 he realised the short film 'OUR SONGS' and started working on his graduation film 'BÄRBEL', based on 11 years of footage about his grandmother’s life with Alzheimer’s. Working with sculptors, painters, dancers and musicians Daniel co-founded the multidisciplinary cultural platform 'RAUM' and he is preparing his debut feature film 'JOSIA'.
