17 Talents Alumni on Longlist for 2018 Best Foreign Film Oscar

An impressive 17 films by our alumni have been nominated as their countries’ contenders for the 2018 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. This year, a record 92 films were submitted overall, which will be whittled down to a shortlist of nine in December. The final five nominees will be announced on January 23, 2018.

Three of the entries were developed at our Project Labs: Kirsten Tan’s “Pop Aye” and John Trengove’s “The Wound” at our 2014 Script Station, and Carla Simón’s “Summer 1993” at our 2015 Script Station and 2016 Talent Project Market.
