Anna Molins is a cinematographer based in Barcelona with more than fifteen years of experience behind the camera. She graduated as director of photography from ESCAC (Film and Media School of Catalonia) in 2001. Her first feature film is THE ODD-JOB MEN (2021), which was directed by Neus Ballús and released in the Official Selection of Locarno Film Festival. In her career, two documentary films stand out: MY NAME IS VIOLETA (2019), which won the Audience award and the International Amnesty Prize of the DocsBarcelona Festival, and KANIMAMBO (2012), which received the Special Mention of the Jury in the Málaga Film Festival. Molins has shot more than twenty professional short films. Her latest piece is INEFFABLE (2021), which obtained the Danzante Iberoamericano prize at the 49th Huesca Film Festival. In addition, she has specialized in stop motion, a technique she applied in both fiction and advertising. Here, two projects stand out: CANIS (2014), awarded Best Cinematography in the XII Mecal Pro International Short Film Festival of Barcelona, and TWINS OF SUNSET STREET (2010), which took home the Gaudí Award for Best Short Film, the Kodak Award for Best Cinematography at the 12th Spanish Version Short Film Festival and the Silver Méliès Award at the Sitges International Film Festival, among other national and international accolades. Her versatility, together with her eagerness for capturing instants and for telling stories is what drives her in all kinds of projects and experiences.
