- With the end of the Military Dictatorship, through the Brazilian Constitution of 1988, direct elections for president were implemented, and for the first time, the right to vote was granted to individual who are not literate. In the hybrid film we witness the transformative journey of Brazilian workers attending literacy classes in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro in nowadays, after migrating from various rural regions of the country during the redemocratization period.
