Sound Studio

A journey into the myriad aspects of sonic storytelling, the Sound Studio invites Talents to engage in collective jam sessions driven by their specific cultural backgrounds, encouraing sound designers and composers alike to reflect on their practices together.

The Talents benefit from a one-day workshop in one of Berlin’s most exciting studio and recording spaces, led by seasoned mentors and musicians, during which they compile and work with a sound library, composed of recordings from their hometowns. This exploration of musical roots should open them to new ways of appreciating how music and sound modulate film and vice-versa.

The way in which us participants could contribute most was in the many conversations we had amongst each other, exchanging our eclectic experiences in the film world. I hope I was able to be as inspiring for the others as they were for me.
