Rui Poças

Rui Poças AIP, ABC is a cinematographer based in Lisbon who lives all over the world. He studied cinematography and scriptwriting at Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema de Lisboa and was a co-founder of the Portuguese Society of Cinematography. Rui achieved international recognition for his diverse contribution to films highlighted by their visual quality and storytelling fluidity. His work includes groundbreaking films such as "The Ornithologist", "Tabu" (Berlinale Alfred Bauer Prize 2012), "Zama", "Frankie", "Alma Viva", and "O Corno". He is also teaching and mentoring at several international film universities and film labs.
