17.02.2016 - Brigitte Lacombe, moderated by Peter Cowie
French photographer Brigitte Lacombe knows her way around a film set. Working as a photographer since 1975, Lacombe has documented productions by Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Spike Jonze, David Mamet, Michael Haneke, Sam Mendes, Sofia Coppola and many other greats. Capturing dazzlingly intimate moments in her portraits as well as the true colors of the film set in her stills, Lacombe’s work depends on a complex understanding of the film world as a unique habitat of coherent connections, powers and energies. This year a member of the Berlinale Jury, Lacombe joins Talents for a photographic travelogue of her work on sets, her choice of subjects and how she literally sees other people.
